FREQUENT URINATION

The term urinary frequency describes the need for a person to urinate more frequently compared to what he used . During frequent urination the amount of urine excreted is the same or many times lower than that normal. The increased need to urinate can be displayed at all times during the day or night or restricted to night hours ( nocturia).

WHAT IS THE SIGNIFICANCE OF FREQUENT URINATION?
The frequent urination is not only a condition that raises the possbility of an underlying health problem, but also can affect the quality of sleep, the functionality of the individual and overall well-being and quality of life .

WHAT OTHER SYMPTOMS CAN CO-EXIST?
Other symptoms may occur depending on the cause that causes frequent urination. These are:
-The Loss of bladder control.
-The Painful urination or difficulty urinating.
-The Abnormal urine color.
-The Urgent need to urinate.

WHAT ARE THE POSSIBLE CAUSES OF FREQUENT URINATION?
The frequent urination is often caused by conditions affecting the functioning of the urinary system. The urinary system consists of the kidneys, ureters, bladder and urethra.
More specifically, diseases and conditions that may result in the appearance of frequent urination are:
- Bladder cancer.
- Stone formation in the bladder.
-Diabetes.
- Diuretics.
-Excessive consumption of caffeine or alcohol.
-Cystitis.
- Kidney infection.
- Overactive bladder.

The visit to a physician is necessary when the need to urinate is increased compared to the normal, while there is one or more of the following:
-There Is no apparent reason that explains the frequent urination, such as increased alcohol or caffeine consumption.
-The Problem affects sleep and daily activity.
